Retailers that sell organic products in bulk or by pieces are subject to control procedures according to Regulation (EC) 834/2007. The COPAE performs periodical controls of the registered businesses. These controls may include sampling and they aim at verifying that organic foods are adequately identified and separated from other non organic products, without misleading consumers.
